In 2008, Calhoun County School District contracted with JRA Architects for the Programming and Design of the County’s new Central High School.
The 130,000-sf school campus contained eight buildings housing the Gymnasium, Administration, Media, and classrooms. Also provided for in the plans were a Food Service Building, a Performing Arts Center, and a 300-seat auditorium. The design was completed in June of 2008 and opened in August of 2010. The construction budget was $21.7 million dollars.
