JRA designed Duval County's new J. Allen Axson Montessori Academy and K-8 Master Plan, a design/build project with construction management firm W.G. Mills, Inc. JRA completed the design and produced the construction documents for this 76,255 square foot, completely redesigned prototype complex in five months. It has 789 student stations. There are 28 classrooms and three labs. The campus consists of two classroom buildings, and administration/lab/media building, and music/multi-purpose/cafeteria building on 24 acres. The school was master planned for a K-8 and opened in 2004 with K-5. The school was then a K-6 in 2005 and K-8 in 2007. The construction cost was $7,848,160.
