Tyndall AFB Drone Hangar

JRA Architects was selected by The US Air Force to be part of a Design/Build team to provide design for a major renovation to the hanger housing drones at Tyndall Air Force Base in Bay County, Florida. 

Included in the complete renovation of the existing 20,000 sf structure was the removal of the existing Built-Up Roof, the addition of another layer of insulation board over the existing insulation and a new 3-Ply Built-Up Roof with granulated cap sheet including repairs of existing gutters and downspouts, new eave flashing and penetration boots. The entire Administrative Suite was renovated, and a new foam fire suppression system was added in the repair bays. The entire $3.5 million project was completed ahead of schedule and under budget.
