U.S. Department of Labor- Job Corp. Center, Grafton

Details

As part of a Design/Build Team for the US Department of Labor, JRA designed a two-story, 8,000 square-foot classroom and culinary arts training kitchen. The program called for the new structure to be located next to and connect with the existing campus cafeteria building on the Grafton Massachusetts Job Corp Center Campus. The new building shares a loading dock with the existing food service building and houses a 3,000 square-foot instructional kitchen with a 1,000 square-foot training dining hall with servicing line.  The building was designed to be in compliance with all applicable codes, including the Department of Labor’s JCH 814 and the Department of Labor’s Sustainability Compliance Tool.

The project was completed in 2017 with a final cost of $2.68 million dollars.
